Description
This is a large still life acrylic painting on stretched canvas. The canvas measures 80 cm tall by 60 cm wide or 2 foot 8 inches tall by 2 foot wide. This painting presents a large bouquet of pale, rose-like flowers bursting out of a boldly patterned container. The pot features a rhythmic blue-and-gold leaf motif that draws the eye immediately. In contrast, the background is a softly blended blue, giving the impression of an airy, open space. The bouquet itself is highly stylised: the green stems and leaves form an intricate lattice that feels almost like stained glass or cut paper. The flowers — pale peaches and soft creams — float along these winding stems, giving the whole top section a lively, sprawling, slightly chaotic quality. The table surface is a muted green-brown, softly mottled, grounding the composition. This picture is supplied varnished with an ultraviolet light-protective varnish which protects against fading and discolouration with time. It is supplied complete with a 1.5 cm black and gold wooden floating frame. These frames are like shallow boxes or trays in which the picture is mounted with a 3-4 mm 'shadow gap' between the frame and picture. The pictures are affixed using velcro so can be repositioned within the frame or removed to flush mount the frame on a wall. The artwork is supplied ready to hang with D-rings and cord. It comes complete with a certificate of authenticity. .
