Shattered Ice

In this stylised abstract black and white print/acrylic painting/drawing on paper, the chaotic patterns of cracked sheet ice are captured with dynamic intensity. The intricate, jagged lines and sharp contrasts evoke the beauty and tension found in frozen landscapes, transforming nature’s raw force into a striking, abstract composition. This artwork started life as a print using heat-treated plastic/foil which then suggested this image to me. This was then worked with acrylic pens. The process is detailed in this video.
