Description

This is a large abstract collage on stretched canvas. The canvas measures 90 cm tall by 120 cm wide or 3 foot tall by 4 foot wide. The collage evokes the elegance and mystery of a peacock's train using layered, torn and cut pieces of printed deli paper. The artwork is dominated by the concentric patterns of purple, teal, turquoise, blue, and gold of the peacock's 'eye' on their tail feathers creating a mesmerising, rhythmic visual. The radiating lines and repeated feather shapes suggest motion, like a fan unfolding or plumage shimmering in the light. The golden strands that encircle each feather evoke a sense of luxury and delicacy, emphasising the intricate nature of peacock feathers. The images don't quite capture the iridescence of the artwork which changes with the light. 

This picture is supplied varnished with an ultraviolet light-protective varnish which protects against fading and discolouration with time. It is supplied complete with a 1 cm black stain wooden floating frame. These frames are like shallow boxes or trays in which the picture is mounted with a 3-4 mm 'shadow gap' between the frame and picture. The pictures are affixed using velcro so can be repositioned within the frame or removed to flush mount the frame on a wall. The artwork is supplied ready to hang with D-rings and cord. It comes complete with a certificate of authenticity. .
