Description

This is a large acrylic painting on stretched canvas. The canvas measures 60 cm tall by 80 cm wide or 2 foot tall by 2 foot 8 inches wide. This abstract acrylic artwork on stretched canvas, rendered in subtle hues, depicts an imagined organic form. The soft colour palette and fluid lines suggest a natural yet otherworldly shape, inviting the viewer to interpret the piece as a reflection of growth, transformation, or the essence of life itself. This work was created using the plastic wrap technique (where plastic film is placed into watery acrylic paint) which produces interesting organic-seeming forms. I set out to create an artwork in a pared-back colour palette, and the finished work suggested itself to me after the initial stage. This picture practically painted itself and pretty-much all in one sitting (which is unusual)

This picture is supplied varnished with an ultraviolet light-protective varnish which protects against fading and discolouration with time. It is supplied complete with a 1 cm grey stain wooden floating frame. These frames are like shallow boxes or trays in which the picture is mounted with a 3-4 mm 'shadow gap' between the frame and picture. The pictures are affixed using velcro so can be repositioned within the frame or removed to flush mount the frame on a wall. The artwork is supplied ready to hang with D-rings and cord. It comes complete with a certificate of authenticity. .
