The Blue Bowl

This abstract acrylic painting on stretched canvas depicts a blue bowl housing a curious houseplant, possibly from an imagined world, adorned with pink buds. The playful composition blends reality with imagination, as the bold colours and organic forms invite the viewer to wonder about the plant’s fantastical origins. This artwork started life by combining alcohol and plastic wrap techniques. The result suggested this still life to me.
