The famous Marlborough White Horse Bookshop Summer Art Exhibition is now on until Sunday 1st June 2025. I am happy to announce that one of my artworks has been included. The artwork in question is 'Stanton Drew' which is a textured acrylic painting on canvas board that depicts the third biggest - and least known - neolithic stone circle in Britain which is situated near the village of Stanton Drew in Somerset, England. The White Horse Bookshop takes its name after the enigmatic white horses that can be found carved into the chalk of the Wiltshire countryside. The lovely independent bookshop can be found at: 136 High St, Marlborough SN8 1HW. Please do visit if you get the chance!

Some advance notice that I, along with others who have just completed an Introduction to Printmaking course will be exhibiting our work at The Printmakers Gallery, Griffin Mill, London Road, Thrupp, GL5 2AZ between Thursday 22nd and Saturday 31st May, 2025. The course covered etching, linocut, screen printing, collagraphy, silkscreen printing, letterpress and lithography - so there will be a wide variety of artwork. See below the poster - please do come if you're in the Stroud area.

I am pleased to announce the publication of my new coffee table book: 'The Art of Alison Adams'. Featuring 86 full colour glossy artworks ranging from those that are tiny (4 x 4 in/10 x 10 cm) to the large (60 x 80 cm) and through the mediums of collage, painting and drawing. The artworks are interspersed with some meaningful definitions and quotations - a captivating if quick read! For many months now I have been busy working away on artwork for my upcoming solo exhibition entitled ‘A Sense of Place’. The exhibition is to be held at Tetbury Goods Shed, Old Station Yard, Cirencester Rd, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8EY from the 25th of September until the 3rd of November 2024.

Welcome to the new Monochrome Art section in the Gallery. These images are all black, white and grey and are designed to have white mounts with white or black frames and to be arranged in groups - or as a gallery wall.

In this video I show how I made some textured black and white papers for collage from wet strength tissue paper and wallpaper paste in preparation for creating collage for the Monochrome Art section of my Gallery.
