Honourable Mention for 'Becoming: Constellations'

I’m delighted to share that my collage Becoming: Constellations has received an Honourable Mention in Fame Frame Gallery’s Symphony of Colours Exhibition.

Inspired by the ornamental richness of Gustav Klimt, this heavily textured mixed-media abstract artwork was created for my upcoming Flora, Fauna & Fantasy Art Exhibition.

The work evokes a luminous, dreamlike presence — suggestive of a wing, rolling waves, or an unfolding mountain range — enveloped by constellations of circular forms that recall celestial bodies or fleeting thoughts suspended in motion.

I have used a palette of lavender, aqua, pink, and gold which references Klimt’s signature opulence whilst remaining contemporary and introspective. The whole piece shimmers with gold accents and layered textures as though the form is simultaneously emerging from - and dissolving into - the atmosphere.

Here is a video showing its creation 'The Making of Becoming: Constellations

This recognition from Fame Frame Gallery is a meaningful acknowledgment of the work and its place within my broader practice. I’m grateful to the gallery for including Becoming: Constellations among such a diverse and thoughtfully curated selection of artworks celebrating the use of colour..
