Mistletoe Tree

This black and white acrylic illustration on paper depicts an intricate, imaginary mistletoe tree silhouetted against a night sky. The detailed branches twist and intertwine with organic complexity, while the dark expanse of the sky enhances the ethereal and otherworldly presence of the tree, creating a striking contrast between nature and fantasy. This artwork started life using the plastic film technique whereby crumpled film is impressed into watery acrylic paint. The result then suggested this image to me.
