Bound by Time

This series of six wood panel reliefs explores the interplay between permanence and decay through the ancient symbol of the Celtic knot. Each knot — endlessly looping, with no beginning or end — sits in tension with the visual texture of oxidised metal, evoking transformation, memory, and the beauty of age. The subtle, oxidised patinas on the knots reflect a variety of metals, each telling its own quiet story of weathering and endurance. Note that what may not be obvious from the images is that these artworks all have a metallic lustre.

Each artwork is supplied varnished** and mounted in a deep black box frame on a black mount with glass.
