Effulgent Efflorescence

Bold and immersive, this acrylic painting on deep, stretched canvas draws the viewer into a lush, imagined garden where nature blooms beyond the ordinary. Four large red flowerheads command attention with their vivid intensity, surrounded by rich foliage that anchors the composition in organic vibrancy. Among them, fantastical lavender-like purple flowers add a touch of the surreal — floral forms that seem to hum with quiet magic. The piece balances botanical realism with dreamlike invention, inviting contemplation of both the natural and the otherworldly. This picture was produced using the alcohol technique whereby alcohol is sprinkled into watery acrylic paint creating 'cells'. The result suggested this artwork to me which was elaborated in acrylic paint.
