This collage on stretched canvas features a colourful imaginary floral and foliage arrangement in a bowl set against a deep blue background. A video of its creation can be found here. The bold shapes and vibrant colours of the flowers create a dynamic contrast with the dark backdrop, while the textured layers add depth and intrigue, transforming the familiar still life into an expressive and contemporary composition. The inspiration was no more or less than creating a striking focal piece that would capture these fantastical flowers at the height of their wonder that could adorn any mantel, seating area or hallway.
