Red Lily

In this collage on card, a bold, singular red lily bloom features against a blue patterned torn paper background which creates a 'patchwork sky'. The lily with its six petals, is created using a combination of red paper strips, floral photography fragments, and patterned textures. The petals are outlined in white, which gives the flower a bold, graphic presence. The stamens and pistil are made from thin pieces of orange and lime green paper, adding dimensionality and botanical realism. Red Lily has companion artworks White Orchid and Agapanthus as shown if desired.
