Botanical Nocturnes: Bloom

A solitary flower emerges from a delicate layering of faded blue, indigo and parchment-toned fragments. Its pale petals seem almost luminous against the darker cyanotype beneath, like a botanical specimen preserved in an old photographic archive. A fleeting impression of a flower, suspended somewhere between memory and discovery. This is one of four complementary Botanical Nocturnes mixed media collages.
