Kooky Coral

In this evocative acrylic painting on stretched canvas, sunlight penetrates an imagined multicoloured coral, casting an ethereal glow that dances across the canvas. The vibrant hues of the coral —ranging from deep purples to soft oranges and greens — blend and shift in harmony, suggesting a vibrant underwater world that exists between reality and fantasy. The light filtering through the coral creates a sense of depth and movement, as if the scene is alive and pulsing with energy. This painting began life using the alcohol technique whereby alcohol is sprinkled into watery acrylic paint producing 'cells' which then suggested this artwork to me.
