Verdigris Vestiges

A richly textured mixed-media collage on stretched canvas exploring the beauty of weathered surfaces, pattern and patina. Layers of turquoise, verdigris, copper, bronze and muted rose are woven together with an eclectic vocabulary of geometric marks, embossed textures and fragments of repeating pattern.

The result is both architectural and organic — reminiscent of aged metal, worn tiles, fragments of ancient walls and surfaces transformed by time. A soft, subtle sheen catches the light across the raised textures, giving the work an ever-changing quality as you move around it.

Verdigris Vestiges celebrates the unexpected beauty of decay, layering and transformation, turning traces of age into something contemporary and decorative.
